Box Elder
Elder wood is a soft wood that is sought after by craftsmen for its redish color in the growth rings. Wood workers use it when they turn items on the lathe. |

Ash Red Oak
The emerald ash borer killed this tree . They eat the layer between the bark and the wood, once the tree is dead they leave. The wood is still good, this piece of lumber was make from an infested tree. The Double "D" Sawmill turned an unwanted log into valuable lumber, and we can do that for you also. Ash is a hard wood that is used in the making of baseball bats and furniture.
